THE CHALLENGE
Piccolino is a local trattoria pizzeria based in Fitzroy North committed to offering a fabulous tasting experience nothing short of fabulous.
In 2020 Piccolino suffered a sharp reduction in revenues due to the restrictions in places during lockdowns, as customers were not allowed to sit and eat in the restaurant for public health reasons.
Piccolino decided to invest in SEO, Local SEO and Social Media campaigns to position the business in view of the reopening of activities following the end of the lockdowns.
Our strategy
Our strategy focus on SEO and Local SEO for Restaurants to better position Piccolino in Fitzroy North (where the restaurant is based) and surrounding suburbs, such as Carlton, Collingwood, Clifton Hill, Abbotsford, and Northcote. In one year, we increased the number of phone calls, table reservations and takeaway orders by 1643%. The quality of the food and service, along with the rebranding and the website rebuilding, contributed to increasing performance and the venue’s popularity in Melbourne. The Social Media Campaigns helped raise awareness and increase table and function bookings.

The Results
Piccolino Pizza saw a massive increase in takeaway orders during 2020/2021 Melbourne’s lockdowns and a massive increase in phone calls and table bookings during 2022. Revenue increased by 221% and Increase in Phone Calls and Bookings by 1643% YoY Apr-Set 2022 vs Apr-Set 2021.
Conversion rate increased by 22.5%, which refers to the number of visitors to a website who make a phone call or a booking from the website over a period of time.
It doesn’t stop there, as the business has already reduced the opening days from 6 to 5 due to the consistent increase in revenues. The strong local positioning leads to a significant increase in local and broad audiences.
